Before I started playing GW2, I played SWTOR. Shortly after Path of Fire was released, a certain someone on the SWTOR forums - who also frequents these forums - mentioned that the holosmith elite specialization gets a lightsaber (or, well, a sword that looks really similar to one).

Most classes have at least one elite specialisation which is essentially just an objectively better version of the default class (Tempest, Daredevil, Soulbeast, etc). There are some cases in PvP where you can get away with playing a non-elite spec class. Guardian, for example, is the meta support spec in sPvP.
